Welcome to Our Chapter's Information Website

Welcome to the Southern Cruisers Riding Club (SCRC) Chapter 270 website. The SCRC was first formed in the Southern United States in the late 1990’s. SCRC chapter 270 was established in Kitchener/Waterloo in 2001 and has since grown to include Elmira, New Hamburg, Wellesley, St. Jacobs, and more.

There are no dues or initiation activities, just a great place to come out and have fun and meet new people.

We are a family friendly riding club that meet and ride a number of times per week during the riding season (May to September):

  1. *Meet and Greet  -  Every Tuesday we meet at a Tim Hortons, the location of which changes on a per month basis.

  2. *Friday Night Ice Cream Rides  -  Every Friday night a Road Captain will lead a ride to an ice cream parlor of his or her choosing.

  3. *Weekend Rides  -  Full or half day rides organized and led by a Road Captain on a Saturday or a Sunday.

  4. *Unscheduled Rides  -  Various times throughout the season, members will post a ride on our forum which are not pre-scheduled. These can be posted and led by any members wishing to participate.

During the off-season (October to April) we run a number of events:

  1. *Meet and Greet  -  We get together two or three times a month for some casual food and conversation. (a great time to hook up with other hibernated riding enthusiasts) Check the forum for updated dates, times, and places!

  2. *Sunday Breakfast/Brunch  -  Third Sunday of the month at Harvest Moon in St. Jacobs.

  3. *Social Events  -  These can include billiards, darts, bowling, cards, etc.

There is no expectation of members to attend all events, but we do expect you to be an active member of the club.

However, we do ask a few things of our members:

  1. *Always ride safe.

  2. *Don’t give the club a bad name.

  3. *Support your club and chapter.

All makes and models of 2 and 3 wheeled motorcycles are welcome.
